I have a question on the course content – who do I contact?
If you have a technical query (as opposed to a query over content), relating to this course, you should contact support@sl-support.com, addressing your query ‘LSC technical course issue’.
Alternatively you can call the support team on 028 9028 8830 (NB telephone lines are open during office hours).
The technical support is available during office hours – ie 9:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Email queries outside of office hours will be dealt with on the next business day.
There is no limit on the number of times the support facility can be contacted. The maximum response time for the technical support is 8 hours (which corresponds to the next business day). This response time is equally applicable to telephone queries.
How long should the modules take me to complete?
The modules themselves should take approximately 1-2 hours for you to complete. However there is additional content on some of the modules, including access to external web-pages, where you may find you will want to spend longer in reading and researching material.
Will CPD points be awarded for these modules?
The courses have been approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to attract CPD points.
Following completion of each course, delegates are required to take an assessment consisting of a number of questions, related to the course content. Successful completion of the assessment will result in the generation of a CPD certificate, which can be printed or saved electronically.
Each course attracts 1.5 CPD points.
Is there anything I need to know, from a technical point of view, before starting the course?
We have included a “how to navigate the modules” document at the start of each course and also on the main site page, that details some points on accessing the module (eg whether you are accessing the course in Internet Explorer 8, how to move back and forth through the module etc).
Will you be running any further classroom based training sessions?
There are no plans at this time to run any further classroom based training sessions. However, we are expecting to schedule a series of webinars in the future, on the course content, which you will be able to access and for which you will be notified.
